Alana has trained in person with international breathing expert Patrick McKeown, she is a certified Oxygen Advantage Master Instructor, she’s also completed 'The Science of Breathing' studies and holds qualifications as a Yoga Instructor. Needless to say, breathing isn't just a passion.
What is Functional Breathing?
Alana utilises scientifically proven techniques to retrain your body to breathe effectively. Her approach is grounded in nasal breathing—day and night, even during exercise training—and follows the 'LSD' principles: Light, Slow, and Deep breathing.
When we focus on breathing in this order, shallow breathers in time start to experience breathing driven low from the diaphragm (Deep), the snorers learn to breath the correct volume of air for their airway size (Light) and the people with the busy minds or anxiety learn the power of mind-body connection and nervous system regulation (Slow).
