Feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed or constantly “on”?
Many of us are living in a state of nervous system overload without even realising it. When the nervous system is under pressure for too long it can show up as fatigue, poor sleep, irritability, anxiety, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
What if you could learn simple, practical ways to bring your system back into balance?
Join Michelle Choma and Carolyn Uhlmann for a deeply supportive 2-hour workshop combining psychobiology, trauma-informed yoga, and meditation. This session is designed to help you better understand how your nervous system responds to stress and to give you gentle, evidence-based practices to help restore calm, stability and resilience.
Through guided education, restorative movement and meditation, you’ll be supported to slow down, reconnect with your body, and experience what it feels like when the nervous system begins to settle.
• Learn how the nervous system responds to stress and overwhelm
• Discover practical, evidence-based tools to support nervous system regulation
• Experience gentle, restorative movement designed to calm the body
• Cultivate a deeper sense of safety, calm and emotional resilience
Whether you’re completely new to yoga and meditation or already have an established practice, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to step out of the busyness of daily life and give your nervous system the rest and support it needs.
If you’ve been feeling stretched, tired, or simply craving more calm and clarity, this afternoon is designed for you.
Please note: This workshop provides education and gentle, trauma-informed yoga practices to support nervous system regulation and wellbeing. It is not a therapeutic intervention or a replacement for mental health care.
Michelle and Carolyn are experienced registered psychologists, each with over 20 years of professional experience supporting mental health and wellbeing. They are also Level 1 yoga teachers registered with Yoga Australia.
They met while completing their yoga teacher training in restorative yoga and meditation at BIYOME in 2020 and have since continued their training through the Yoga Psychology Institute’s 60-hour Mental Health Aware Yoga Teacher Training.
Together, they share a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies through safe, embodied practices that support nervous system stability, emotional regulation, and improved wellbeing.
