Inspired by the Water element in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this winter practice is an invitation to slow down, soften, and turn inward. Winter asks us to rest, restore, and conserve our energy. It’s a time to support the nervous system and reconnect with a quieter, deeper sense of inner wisdom.

In this workshop with Alexandra, you’ll be guided through gentle, supportive practices designed to release tension, regulate the body, and create space for stillness and reflection.

Workshop Focus:
• SMFR & BackMitra for the psoas, low back, feet, and posterior chain to support Kidney energy
• Yin shapes along Kidney & Bladder meridians
• Restorative practices for deep nervous system down regulation
• Somatic inquiry around fear, safety, and inner resource
• Meditation practices that cultivate stillness and inner listening

Outcomes:
You’ll leave with a deep sense of physical and mental rest, as tension softens through the body and the nervous system begins to settle. There is space to reconnect with yourself more honestly, building awareness of your inner landscape and any patterns around fear or safety. From here, a feeling of steadiness and groundedness can emerge, along with a quiet sense of being resourced from within. You may also notice a renewed connection to your intuition, and a gentle, lasting sense of replenishment that supports you through the winter season.

Logistics:
Wear your usual yoga clothing and bring a mat, a journal and pen, and anything that helps you feel cosy during the cooler season. We’ll take care of the rest.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to give yourself time to settle in.

Etiquette:
We keep the studio space quiet before the session so everyone has the opportunity to arrive and settle on their mat. If you’d like to chat, we ask that you do so in the reception area where possible.
The studio is a phone-free space. Please leave your phone on silent in reception. The space will be locked once the session begins.

Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the session will receive a full refund. As spaces are limited, we’re unable to offer refunds or credits after this time.
If your plans change, we appreciate you cancelling early so someone else can take your place.
